Good thing the cyborgs collective mind found their primary mission more interesting.
Well, the M9 Girls survived their first fight, and they are still in one piece. I’m a magnanimous author.
Or maybe not. I’ve been working with a fellow Underdog in writing a crossover for an imaginary story, in which the world is not a nice place for the Girls or their inhabitants. We will publish it soon, so stay tuned. In order to give you a clue, here are the M9 Girls as imagined by the crossover Underdog!
C’mon Girls! This is no time to gloat!
They’re getting away with the Fiendish Thingy!
Have I mentioned how much I like your designs for the cyborg/machinal creatures, Betty? You made them threatening and cool, but they’re also capable of showing emotion.
Also, the girls in Panel 3. You’ve done a wonderful job of making them all distinct. “I want to go home now!”
And that last panel-or should I say the whole page under the other panels? Beautiful angle, and a great shot!
One of the many fun features of M9 Girls is watching you grow as an artist.
You really rocked it again here. Way to go!
Karlita is anything but gloating. And I think Betty has gone thru the most difficult pages of the chapter now…
This is significantly more disconcerting than if the cyborgs fought to the “death” (are they dead already?), because it means there’s a much bigger and more dangerous agenda in the long term.
The Girls were nothing more than a minor inconvenience to the main mission of the cyborgs, that is, until Pato attacked them and proved them to be a real threat. So it is Pato’s fault that the cyborgs engaged them, although only in order to secure the mission.
“Yay! They forfeit, so we win! Go team!”
“Actually, I think they’re still up to somethin-”
“I SAID GO TEAM!”
“What part of CLASSES ARE CANCELLED did you not understand? Race you to the Chok’lit Shoppe!”
That would be Clau’s take on it. Karla is relieved.
And Pato has the best quip again. ^^
Wow, that crossover partner draws like someone who understands genetically modified characters.
I know! Can’t wait to let the world know what we got in store for this crossover!.
Pato’s lines are always the funniest to write.
