Dear friends, join us in celebration this week as we celebrate the third year of M9 Girls. The Girls are taking a respite from their adventures to enjoy a night of stargazing. Pretty fitting, since their powers come from the stars.

The Hippo here.
Three years. Three years of publishing this comic. Time goes so fast. So many things have happened since the Girls first saw the light. Life has been an adventure for the creators in the mean time, not so unlike our heroines’ life.

As for this author, I just have to say:

  • Many thanks to Kanela, for bringing the Girls to life, coping with this writer, translating from complex writing to vibrant art, adding that little spark of personality to each character, and for being able to produce the Girls’ adventures each week(-ish). You are the best, it has been great having you as part of the team for these three years. More to come!
  • Thanks to Kari for the coloring saves, your style greatly compliments the comic.
  • Thanks to all our webcomic friends for your input, critiques, friendly banter and support. You have made this experience awesome. Thanks to all Underdogs for the great exchanges and fan-art!
  • In particular, many thanks to Charlie, Emily, Gual-kun, and Vas, for your art, advice, friendly support, long night chats and for just being awesome. And of course I’m not forgetting Melaredblu, who gifted us the wonderful art gracing this post! Thanks Melaredblu, you rock! You have helped me shape the Girls characters.
  • Thanks to Thibault Kervarech for our awesome musical intro. And to Spg for having Ariane visit our Facebook page. Many thanks to Ethan, Aero-Zero, MJ, Christy, Marius, Neil, DB and Dan for the wonderful fan-art and collaborations.
  • Thanks to Michael and Marisa for introducing me to this wonderful community, for the gorgeous fan-arts and the support.
  • And thank you, faithful readers, for being around for this long. You are the reason we keep doing this.

What’s next for M9 Girls? Well, for starters, a new chapter. Kanela is taking a break while she adjusts to the Real World Life (having a job and paying taxes just sucks, right?) In the meantime, we will have the dynamic art of Séreméla, a young artist who is trying her pencils with us. You saw her work on the Blitz Phoenix crossover recently. Welcome to the M9 team, Séreméla!

Friends and readers, it is great to have you here and celebrate three years of publishing.
And, as the M9 Girls do, we will also keep reaching for the stars.
