Man, Betty, you’re getting so good at this. I love the Karla/Vero memory panel. The body language, Vero’s expression, Karla’s obliviousness, their costumes. I’m thinking there’s more going on than just a couple of pals hanging out.
Mr. Handsome might be worst than an used car dealer. Betty gets all the credit for the flashback scene, as it happens. She is giving a lot of input on Vero’s character lately.
That smile doesn’t fill me with confidence, but the other girls may need this guy’s evil ugly help too. they’ll all be inducted into his family, in a way as heartwarming as the Coreleones.
Golden would be happy to have her friends on her side at last.
She picked the wrong team, I’d say, but do I think she’s a villain? No, no I don’t. I think she’s a pawn of a villain, and that almost always ends badly. I’m worried for her sake.

Given the chaotic nature of her powers, it’s worrisome she is so confident.
I’ve always been drawn more to characters like Golden than the goody-hero type. She’s got an interesting arc ahead, methinks.
The Girls might get jealous, but Golden loves all the attention she is getting.
