OK, I’m bad at rhymes, but after seeing what Charlie and melaredblu are doing for the season, we had to regal our readers with our very own Christmas special. We hope you enjoy this little story, as illustrated by Kanela.

Karlita is preparing for the festivities, and she is more than ready for some Christmas shopping. Plus, she has daddy’s card.

You might recognize Umh-Bah and Tinaru from Doodling Around, and it seems like Dr. Belami from the Daemon Archives took a day off to visit the mall.

We are running late with the Holiday Special, but  that’s what happens when tablet drivers won’t cooperate. Anyway, Merry Christmas, hope the leftover turkey is still good!

Oh, by the way, this guy unsuccessfully trying to woo Pato is none other than Simon from Groovy Kinda. He seems to have develop some affection for her even since he met her during the GK crossover. Too bad Pato is wary of geek scientists materializing inside her locker room…

Kanela managed to make her computer work and we have a new page. One more to go before going back to our regular schedule.

Merry Christmas from the M9 Girls!

And, to stay on the Christmas spirit, let us share this whimsical doodle by our friend Melaredblu, who seems to be having fun with the mistletoe.

Once again, the Comic Underdogs are doing an exchange. This year’s theme is “Potluck party”. So the M9 Girls are attending a Christmas party (or a Posada, I’m not sure) and everyone is pitching in. While Karlita and Clau decided to bake a cake (OK, Karla probably bought it), Any decided to try some … uhm… radical cooking herself. Pato, on the other hand, had just enough time to shop around for some goodies before the party.

We got to do the exchange with Racheal Diehl, author of KelpieSpirit Comics, where she features On the Island, a slice-of-life comic about a stranded couple and their antics as they try to live life as usual. You know the drill, go take a look.

M9 Girls is participating in the Winter Holidays exchange.

The awesome Melaredblu did this interpretation of Blue Destiny as the Japanese winter spirit Yuki Onna. Showing kindness to this spirit usually rewards those who cross her path, but the spirit can be naughty as well.

We thank Mela for this gift, and the homage to M9 Girls Japanese roots (they are kind of magical girls, after all). Don’t forget to read Mela’s comics, the Refraction of Princess Chroma and Here I Lie Awake.
