My influences are a mixture of action comics like Amazing Spider-man, X-Men, Fathom and TMNT. The comic pacing and style owes a lot to Spider-man loves Mary Jane, Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Bubble Gum Crisis, Ghost in the Shell, and a little of Sailor Moon.
Cinematic influences are Star Wars and Indiana Jones movies.
All of this spiced with a little of Asimov’s storytelling.

The story does not focus on it, but yes, the Girls speak Spanish and have Latin heritage. The previous page also has (very) subtle hints at their location.
