Its a little more than that. Part is simple mechanics/electronics etc. Put too great a current through a circuit and it’ll burn out, similar things happen in mechanical terms.
Thats what I SUSPECT will happen, regardless of their feelings at that moment in time

Yep, it even works in real life. Sipping water through a straw can be refreshing. Shoving a fire hose operating at full pressure into your mouth can have….unfortunate results. O.o
